Leibster Award nomination!

Leibster Award!

We’ve been nominated for a Liebster award by the lovely Laurena of Life Diet Health, her blog and our nomination is here:

https://lifediethealth.wordpress.com/2015/02/22/blogging-love-and-another-award/

Life Diet Health is a vegan and gluten free recipe blog with a lot of great information about nutrition, I also love Laurena’s way of classifying recipes with a really simple code so DEGF will be Dairy, Egg and Gluten Free! It’s such a great way of presenting information at a glance. All nicely explained in this post:

So, let’s have a look at the rules of the Liebster award..

  • post the award logo on your blog
  • link back to the person who nominated you
  • answer the questions set for you
  • nominate 10 other bloggers (preferably with less than 200 followers) and let them know they’ve been nominated
  • create 10 questions for your nominees

Here are the 10 questions we were asked, and our answers:

How much time per week do you spend on your blog?

We try to post a recipe every day if we can, and each one takes at least an hour to write up, check, and so on, so 7 – 10 hours.

Do you use Instagram, Facebook or Twitter in relation to your blog?

We don’t at the moment but we’re definitely thinking about it! Ellie is actually a bit scared of the internets so we’re easing her in slowly…

What is your all-time favourite food?

Ellie – soup. Alex – polenta with mushrooms!

What mode of transport do you use the most?

The train! We both commute, boo… Also walking, as neither of us drives.

How long did you think about starting a blog before you actually created it?

A good few months! Then we started veganbungalow with a few recipes, thought about it for another three months… and then finally got going properly!

What’s the best thing about your blog?

It really makes us think about variety in our cooking, as veganism in general does! We love to showcase veganised versions of local dishes.

If you could jump on a plane right now where would you go?

We’d jump straight off it again and get the train to Manchester for a nice day out and lunch at Bistro 1847! Neither of us is particularly fond of planes…

What three things would you say about yourself if you had to introduce yourself to a room full of strangers?

Alex – my name is Lord Bear Crumpington, I have just flown here in my airship, and I’m a habitual liar…
Ellie – mumble mumble oh erm, I love to cook, draw, and I fail spectacularly at growing vegetables every single year!

What’s your favourite part of being a blogger?

Learning from and engaging with other bloggers is great! And the whole process makes us think more about our recipes and the types of food we eat.

What advice would you give new bloggers?

Enjoy it! You’ll get to talk to like minded people and gain inspiration from them . Oh, and a thrill every time someone follows or comments on the blog!

Our 10 questions to our nominees are:
Why did you decide to start a blog?
Is there an ingredient you particularly love using?
Do you stage your food and backdrop for your recipe photos?
Tell me something fun about you?
Do you eat out much?
Do you cook recipes from other blogs?
Aubergine. Good or Evil?
Is there an ingredient you’ve always wanted to try but not been able to get hold of?
What’s your favourite junk food?
Does everyone in your household follow the same type of diet?
